PPC advertising versus Organic search engine results.
Wednesday, November 29th, 2006PPC or Pay Per Click advertising is something you may or may not know much about. When searching for a term on a serch engine, results on the far right side of the page are results that appear there by businesses paying for them to be there. The results on teh left side of the pageare there for organic reasons. These reasons are frequent updates to the website, usability, blogging, etc. There really are many factors that go into getting a website to the top of search engine results. First PPC, the way PPC works is that the owner of the website places ads through Google for instance & literally bids on clicks. You can bid anywhere from $.01 up to well, as high as your competitor is willing to go. The higher you bid, the higher your ranking for those keywords will show up on search engine results. When a visitor then clicks on your website through the ad, you pay for that click maybe a penny maybe a couple hundred dollars. It seems to be common sense then that you want your website to show up on the left rather than the right in results. For one, it’s virtually free & two, studies show that users typically look on the left of the screen rather than the right. So, maybe you have mastered one or the other methods of getting your website noticed. Now how many visitors come to your website? More importantly, how many of those visitors become customers or qualified leads? Information you should know, Information you need to know. That’s where StatsAdvisor TM comes in. Receive detailed reports showing you how your visitor found your website & where they went once on it. Information you will find priceless. Can you afford not to know?
